Working Parties

First Working Party / Second Working Party / Third Working Party


When the Trust was formed the River from Wickford downstream was full of assorted debris, shopping trolleys, cones, bikes, lots of tyres and more.

You can see from the photos some of the devastation caused by the pollution. There were hundreds of dead fish.

First Working Party

On the first work party a large amount of debris was removed from the section within Memorial Park. Roy Hart provided a tractor and trailer to collect and remove the rubbish. Please see the photos.

 

Second Working Party

The second work party took place on 11th October 2009.
We split up into groups to work on different sections of the river within Memorial Park. Area cleaned by the Trust.
The rubbish and debris was piled along the river bank and was loaded into Roy's trailer.

Third Working Party

A Working Party took place on the 9th May 2010 a large amount of rubbish and debris was removed. Many thanks to the volunteers who came and helped. Please see Thank You letter
